Hands of Mercy

For several years we have been seeking God's guidance on the vision and growth plan for His ministry through us in Honduras. We are now raising funds to begin the next chapter of expansion!

Farm Overview

The farm is located in the village of Aldea Las Flores, in El Paraiso, Honduras. It contains about 26 manzanas of land (about 40 acres), with 20 manzanas planted with roughly 70,000 coffee trees.

Currently, the farm produces about 18,000 pounds of green coffee beans per year, which is sold wholesale locally in Honduras. There is one family employed year-round for groundskeeping and maintenance, with additional workers hired annually during the harvest season.

Our Commitment

Our goal is to acquire the coffee farm within the next 1-2 years! ZERO United States residents will receive a salary from this project—all proceeds will directly benefit or employ Honduran nationals.

Immediate Action Plan

The existing trees are nearing the end of their productive lifespan and have not been fertilized recently. Immediately after acquisition, we plan to begin fertilizing the existing trees to enhance production.

Additional plans for short-term growth and community development:

  • Immediately increase the tenant family's salary by at least 50%.
  • Replace 1/3 to 1/2 of the existing trees over three years (Year 1: No production, Year 2: First fruits, Year 3: Normal production).
  • Conduct medical missions to the village during harvest season to serve migrant workers and their families.
  • Build and enhance the church and school in Aldea Las Flores using farm revenue.
  • Extend medication supplies provided by our medical missions.

Looking to the Future

As the farm becomes self-sustaining and profitable, our long-term objectives are focused entirely on expanding our impact in Honduras.

  • Leverage business rules to help with legal immigration for Honduran citizens who desire U.S. residence.
  • Expand operations with additional land purchases.
  • Continue strong community development efforts, including securing access to clean water, reliable power, and healthcare in Aldea Las Flores and surrounding areas.
  • Begin export of Fair Trade Honduran Coffee to churches and other organizations in the United States help fund our work and spread the word about what God is doing in Honduras!
